Ixeia, 7 years old, Zaragoza (Spain). I Wonder #5, Self-interviews Under Lockdown
Ellen Duthie
Seven-year-old Ixeia from Zaragoza (Spain) is in Primary 2 in Spain (equivalent to Year 3 in the UK) and for this self-interview she asked herself just one, very good question:
What would you like to do the first day you are allowed out freely?
Her answer takes the form of words: “I’ll go out into nature and I’ll run so fast that nobody will be able to see me”
And her words come with a mysterious illustration:
Indeed, she is moving so, so, so very quickly, that there is no trace of Ixeia in the drawing (and the three members of the Wonder Ponder team have looked everywhere) , en el dibujo (y las tres integrantes de Wonder Ponder lo hemos explorado muy a fondo).
We are very grateful to Ixeia for sending us this self-interview, which we are sharing here for other children to see and think about their own plan for the first day they are allowed out into the street freely.
I Wonder, Self-interviews Under Lockdown is a project by Wonder Ponder inviting 5 to 18 year olds to ask questions and think about the coronavirus crisis and its consequences through self-interviews in audio, written or ilustrated format.
If you want to send a self-interview for us to include it in the project, please read this entry and follow these instructions.
We look forward to hearing from you!
You can see/read/listen to other self-interviews here.
