THE WAR NOTEBOOK. IDEAS FOR TALKING, DRAWING, ASKING QUESTIONS AND THINKING ABOUT WAR AND PEACE
A free downloadable 26 page notebook, developed and written by Ellen Duthie, illustrated by Andrea Antinori and designed by Alejandra Fernández.
Content: a page full of war and peace questions from kids and teens, a page where you can write your own questions with the inspiration of some spark words, a true or false section, the chance to interview real or fictional people who might have interesting things to say about war (and peace), a page to explain war in writing or drawing to an alien from a planet where there are no wars, a page to imagine how the alien from the peaceful planet might explain to us what it’s like to live there, a page full of (serious) questions about what we would do in the event of an alien invasion, a double page full of dilemmas and a last page for readers to collect the best questions they have come up with while reading, drawing and writing in the War Notebook, which they may share with Wonder Ponder for us to include them in a book based on all the questions on war and peace we receive.
At Wonder Ponder we are offering this War Notebook free of charge because we believe it is important for access not to be limited financially.
However, if you feel you would like to recognise the work involved in creating this notebook (concepto, writing, illustration, design, proofreading, translations), you have two ways of doing to.
DONATE QUESTIONS!
All Wonder Ponder would like in exchange for the free download is for you to donate to us any questions that arise from sharing the war notebook with children and teens around you. Please send them here.
DONATE FUNDS!
If you would like to donate money, please take part in our fund-raising campaign QUESTIONS AGAINST WAR.
